Shoreline Tracer Release History
Release 2,0,0,0
This release contains major changes to the program.
The "Calibration", "Samples", "Trainer", and "Classifier"
methods have changed and data storage is moved to new directory folders.
On startup, you will have some choices:
- Do nothing: The program will shut down because it cannot use the directories of version-1.
- Start new: Create a new 'Shoreline Tracer' version-2 documents folder and start with no existing data.
You can manually copy files from version-1 to the version-2 folders.
- Copy: You can have the program create the version-2 folders and files from a copy of your existing
'Shoreline Tracer 1' document folder.
The 'Shoreline Tracer 2' documents folder will be about the same size as the old folder.
Some folders will remain unchanged and some folders will not appear because the data is saved in the new folders.
The version-1 'Composite Models' data (no longer supported,) 'Scanned Images', and other temporary data are not copied to the version-2 document folders
and the version-1 message ignore list is not copied to the version-2 folders.
- Added a schedule to trace a very long shoreline as a series of sequential short shoreline sections wherein
the start-point of a shoreline is the stop-point of the prior shoreline section. The last shoreline has an 'stop-point'.
- Added a shared return-path for the scheduled shoreline sections to close the shoreline paths along a common path.
- Added multiple scanlines. If the program cannot find the shoreline with a scan-line,
it can try the next scan-line up to five (5) scan-lines.
Each scan-line can be of a different size and shape.
- The scan-line profile is divided into two scan-lines: center-left and center-right for both
the W | L and the W | S | L scan-modes. This helps the program avoid nearby offshore rocks.
The Shoreline Tracer version-2 the sub-folders are:
- "device:\document-folder\Calibration"
- "device:\document-folder\Drawing sequences"
- "device:\document-folder\Logs"
- "device:\document-folder\Model-Classes"
- "device:\document-folder\Providers"
- "device:\document-folder\Reference traces"
- "device:\document-folder\Resume Files"
- "device:\document-folder\Samples"
- "device:\document-folder\Scan-line Profiles"
- "device:\document-folder\Schedules"
- "device:\document-folder\Sessions"
- "device:\document-folder\Shoreline Packages"
- "device:\document-folder\Shoreline-cache"
Session folders:
- "device:\document-folder\Calibration"
- "device:\document-folder\Samples"
- "device:\document-folder\Sessions"
- "device:\document-folder\Schedules"
A "session-path" is "device:\document-folder\Sessions\session-name\Z#\W#H#\W*"
A "model-path" is "device:\document-folder\Samples\Model-Classes\model-name\Z#"
A "model-path" is "device:\document-folder\Model-Classes\model-name\Z#"
A "macro-model" path is: "model-path\Image Classifier Model.zip"
A "micro-model" path is: "model-path\W#H#\W*\Image Classifier Model.zip"
- The "Calibration" data is in the sub-folder "..\document folder\Sessions\Calibration".
- The "Shapes" folder will contain named land area defining csv-files
of (lat, lon) coordinates that you create from ellipse, rectangle, and custom traced shapes.
Each cvs-file can contain zero or more sample-shapes.
- The "Model-Classes" folder will contain "macro-model" folders with "micro-model" sub-folders.
- The "model-name" folders will contain the names of zero or more model classes.
- The "Z#" ... the model specific GoogleMaps tile plot scale.
- The "W#H#" ... the model specific training and shoreline tracing rectangle width (W#) and height (H#)
- The "W*" ... the model specific training and shoreline tracing scan method:
- "W | L" ... Classify the image at the center of the scan-line.
If the image is land, scan left for water.
If the image is water, scan right for land.
The angle to the next shoreline point is the angle between the water and land.
- "W | S | L" ... The scan was change from left-to-right to the W | L method.
Classify the image at the center of the scan-line.
If the image is shoreline or land, scan left for water.
If the image is water, scan right for land.
The angle to the next shoreline point is the average of the shoreline angles between
the water and land.
The error messages and "Enn.ddd" values are all changed.
In 'Shoreline Tracer' version-2, your version-1 "Should ignore these messages.list" is invalid.
End.
